not so good

I thunk Sparling out-thinked himself on this one. The plot developments aren't interesting enough to make the tedious reshuffling worthwhile, but it seems clear the story's only there to be so manipulated, aided by "clues" that come off like so much writerly BS (the pieces of the puzzle include actual puzzle pieces). Also: promotional materials for the film, both trailers and press, contain a pretty major revelation that if known going in would seem to rob most of the film of its tension.
