Merry Go Round of 1938

Mildly zany musical with a lot of B-acts trying it out for this Universal musical. Bert Lahr getting the lead in Merry-Go-Round of 1938. He does get a lot of help to fill the time. Quite a few lesser known people, along with a few veteran support casts, with Mischa Auer making the most of his air time, practically saving this from sinking. For this was a musical comedy where they threw a lot at the wall hoping something would stick, so it more or less made a mess than making a quality film.
