The silent version of Michel Strogoff (1926) is in desperate need of proper restoration, but the excitement of the film still shines through with immense power. One of the big films starring Russian emigrant and European movie star Ivan Mozzhukhin. And he takes this film full force with action, motherly love, regular love and miracles. The nearly 3 hours fly by surprisingly fast!
