Kit and Anthony Preston never had a real honeymoon, and the midnight lace pajamas are for when they can finally get out of London. Anthony's business is very pressing these days. Then Kit is frightened one day in a London fog by a voice behind a statue. Next the telephone calls start. Then there is a new man on the block, the architect of a building going up next to the Prestons' vintage apartment. Could Kit merely have an overactive imagination? (imdb)

Hitchcockian Thriller set in (not yet Swinging) London. Characters are very old fashioned and the film could have easily been made in the 50’s. There’s very little suspense; it’s mainly about our lead trying to convince others that she is not just imagining things. It’s pretty easy to guess where it’s heading if you've seen a couple of similar films. I might have liked it a bit more had I seen it years ago, but at this point it’s a clear disappointment.

It's not horrible, but I feel Doris Day was miscast since I prefer upbeat smiling Doris Day. The reveal is so very predictable. Gaslight did it a lot better. Fav scene: the poster makes a big deal of Doris Day holding the sides of her dead in terror, but when it finally happens it all just seems so tame.
