What a waste of star power. You've got Heston, Fonda, Mitchum, Mifune, and Coburn all in the same film and somehow it is still extremely boring.

Moderately honest depicton of the battle, but it felt like I was watching in real time. Overly long, lacking in pace and variety in the script with some confusion between plot and sub-plots at time. Stellar cast but fails to spark into the first class film it could have been. Certainly worth watching - but probably while you're doing something else.

Astonishingly boring, considering cast and subject matter

Not bad as far as war flicks go, it looks and feels like a REALLY long TV show... from the '60's.

Noisy flagwaver with confused strategy and too many stars in small parts.

Technicolor looks great as usual, and some of the archival footage is pretty cool, but it's nothing special despite its absolutely star-studded cast, which features Heston, Fonda, Mitchum, Coburn and Mifune (dubbed by Paul Frees).

"Midway" is a star-studded Hollywood mockumentary with meanless side plots and below-average action scenes.

Overly long. Sub plots get in the way of the story.

Almost a comedy if you look at it a certain way,this is a fairly bad film but passes the time.
