Milla

I see the rhythm and the consistency of the cinematic language Massadian has. Yet I cannot share the hopelessness and monotony of vision she puts forward here. I see the feminist undertones as well: the male can go on with his adventures while the female has to suffer and gets domesticated, in the literal sense. But is it really that bleak? What about hope? Can't Milla go to the city? Meet someone? Go to Africa, idk. I feel like going slow and bleak shouldn't pass as original or striking.
