This is seriously amazing. Amazing.

Betty Boop cartoons go nowhere, they are pretty much pointless. Their premise is just a platform from which they launch off into surreal weirdness. This lack of moralism is part of what makes them so daring. This is quality surrealism for children, with awesome soundtracks, especially where the heavenly Cab Calloway is involved.

The song scene went on for way too long imo. I'm glad to see that the walrus from the movie Tusk was getting roles even back then.

I've just discovered Betty Boop. My life has qualitatively improved. And I want Dave Fleischer's mind.

I want to know what was Fleisher smoking, because me want some of that stuff, baby!

I preferred Cab Calloway's role in "Snow-White". This was still good, though.

This is one of the more tolerable toons with BB in them. Most are mediocre if not downright poor.

Nice rotoscoping and fun weird surrealism. The flat grey textures and swaying geometric strokes make this Fleischer stuff trippy as hell. Good music.

Incredible performance by Cab Calloway, paired with some very good spooky-surreal animation. Fuck yeah The only issue I have is that I don't like its message, her parents are trash; you were right, Betty, in running away.
