Joan Blondell & Glenda Farrell are two girls down on their luck who gets pushed into some kind of overly stupid beauty contest scheme. Forgetting the confusing and ridiculous plot, the movie has it's fun moments and it's cool to see Allen Jenkins get this large a part as a sailor/boxer helping the poor girls out. Farrell was good. Blondell however looked out of place in her grumpy role, but at least shows some flair when she gets hitched-up with the handsome Warren Hull.
