The third of Wiseman's war films, this is a comprehensive look - as is always the case with Wiseman - into the institution that is the American air force. But the film has more in common with Wiseman's films on education; in this case the ethical and technical training of those wanting to have their finger (literally) on the button that could initiate nuclear warfare. Many of the sequences concerning the highly refined technical knowledge and skills required for the job are completely absorbing.
