Missing Link

A million years ago, the last living Australopithecine wanders the African savannah, seeking a safe haven from the relentless encroachment of humans. It's a daring idea to have a film with one character and zero dialog, but the concept runs out of steam in the second half. It starts out like a nature documentary with caveman reaction shots spliced in, but eventually degenerates into aimless traipsing through the desert. The ape-man make up/animatronics are excellent and surprisingly expressive.

This it not great art. I simply just enjoyed watching this ape/man walking around alone in the world. If you have a hangover and want something that takes no brain to watch, not a word spoken, watch Missing Link
