The writing is really bad & that's what winds up making it so much worse than it could've been, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't watchable. Solid performances, a fun 80's soundtrack, & a few nice comedy moments are the positives, but the negatives unfortunately outweigh them by a good bit. The plot is paper-thin & goes off in random directions for no reason whenever it feels like it, the characters are flat, & a lot of the comedy doesn't land. It's meh, but has "cult" written all over it.

I wish i could say this was actually a good movie rather than just a good bad '80s movie, but still... it's sort of the Can't Hardly Wait of it's day and has what is probably the greatest soundtrack ever.
