A weird interesting movie that does feel "Tarantino"-esque as some people have said. The main problem with this film though is the entire 3rd act is just preachy. After a while we get it but this is one of the preachiest movie's I've seen in a long time.

Death comes for us all, guns help speed up that process, and being blackout drunk can turn a timid cog in the machine into a disruptive force... at least that's what I took away from this. There are a few stylish moments (loved the spirits entering the elevator) but a tonal shift in the 3rd act with a silly, preachy tone soured me on the experience.

Weird, tonally very uneven, sometimes annoying, sometimes intriguing, overall an interesting watch

The movie is silly and has a small Tarantino flare to it, but the one thing I particularly liked was the opening funeral scene.

Very original Japanese drama/comedy with yes some tarantinesque shots and themes (losing one's soul and the duality of humans) makes for a a suspenseful and reflective film. The suspended sense of reality gave the film a somewhat introspective look at what appears to be an "ordinary man" grappling with his own existential dilemmas. I think there is much more than appears on the surface of this film. Well done.
