1998? More like 1988 via 1978. Brass' Monella is a welcome anachronism, a cheeky sex comedy satirising male timidity when confronted with raw female sexuality. No doubt he exploits Ammirati to a degree--there are a countless number of gratuitous shots lingering on her private parts--but she is in total control of her performance and plays Lola with an appealing mix of naivety and assertiveness. It's a celebration of sexuality as an essential life force, and there are a few uproarious moments.

Fair enough for a director that tries to cope with poseur of Italian cinema. After all, purpose of Brass is to create something tingly, for this once it works.
