Moonstruck

This movie is what all the best romantic comedies aspire to be -- equal parts romance AND comedy, with an honestly-earned touching moment or two thrown in just for good measure. Delight, from beginning to end.

This movie was too adult for me, I just smiled and nodded my way through it.

An above average romantic comedy if for no other reason than the characters actually TALK to each other about their problems, something that is sadly missing from many rom-coms today. The film also lacks the standard plot contrivances that exist only to keep the leads apart. Yes, its predictable and falls into many other tropes of the genre (Cher needing a 'makeover' is particularly ridiculous) but, overall, its an enjoyable film.

Possibly a romantic comedy of the highest order. I have yet to see another movie tackle love on such an honest way whilst also being outrageously hilarious. The pacing is perfect, I have to give credit to the filmmakers but also the cast for doing everything in such a smooth manner. Performances are phenomenal across the board, but I was particularly surprised and content with Olympia Dukakis’ turn as Rose and her arc. Great music, laughs, romance, winter setting and a truly exception script.

Surprisingly extremely funny and I got enough crazy Nic Cage.
