A likable movie even with all it's early-sound movie quirks. This was the movie which symbolized the end of Oscar nominee Bessie Love's career as a leading lady. The tiny girl, best know for her role in The Broadway Melody (1929), got a lot of warm screen time here, but it was only a minor movie. Very pre-code talking about taking poison and plenty of drunkenness. Conway Tearle was effective and Edmund Breese & Emma Dunn as her parents work well and help make something out of this small film.
