The true beauty of a caring, multicultural education in its whole process -- although the film makes so clear how the educational system is itself a tool of 'shaping' and defining futures rather than making kids discover what they want on the own. Still, Bachmann makes sure they see the world with curious eyes, care for their friends and colleagues, listen, respect, express themselves with sincerity.

Speth makes apparent in her impressive documentary - impressive in the sense that she is able to, much like Wiseman but without Fred's masterful touch, craft a subtle narrative from documenting an institution in practice - that the most effective teachers are pedagogues and guardians (exemplified by Mr Bachmann). They demand that their students both pay attention and care, and not just care for each other but for themselves as well as ideas and what has come before and what may come to be.
