Mr. Morgan's Last Love

The acting and beautiful visuals can hardly hide the fact that the script is ridiculously bad.

The notion of real friendship between men and women is made a bit simpler here by employing an age gap, not entirely unlike Bill Murray's "Lost in Translation." It is well-cast, and each actor triggers an appropriate level of ambivalence about the nature of the character he or she is playing. The camera work is beautiful and the pacing, although deliberate, gives one time to think about what is happening.

Veeery slow moving melodrama. Too much for my taste. Clemence Poesy is adorable which was the only thing that kept me watching.

Such a cliched movie. A pity Michael Caine needed the money so badly that he felt he had to sign for this waste of time enterprise.
