Takes itself way too seriously considering how dull the suspenseful scenes play out. The dolls themselves are rather hokey and are laughable in the same way that laughing in a church can be hard to stop yet impossible to explain why.

Better than these things usually are (despite an extremely goofy dub job)--mainly because the dolls, and the midgets inhabiting them, often manage to be genuinely creepy. Features an ending that defies sense masterfully. :) Incidentally, the villain seems to have gotten his gown from the same place that outfitted Manos...
