Mushishi

Not as good as the anime. I really recommend watching the anime series, a great piece of art.

Watched it almost a decade ago (and at a really bad angle, too (thanks for the crappy seat, Japanese Embassy) that kinda compromised the entire experience) and it just never really got going, having neither a strong start or finish, nor a captivating middle part to make up for it. I seem to remember it basically covering a couple of episodes of the animated series, but in a fairly sluggish manner that wasn't helped any by the, I dunno, 'wrong' and off-putting atmosphere. Not a great adaptation.
