It's entertaining for what it is. On the other hand, it is also instantly forgettable.

Fun minor musical that one never really take serious in either direction. Features Alan Mowbray & Eric Blore on comic support, but they're used way too little. Instead Tony Martin sings up most of the time with the stunning Rita Hayworth spicing up the scenery. Passes the time, but Music in My Heart (1940) won't go down as one of the classic musicals of the 1940s.
