Joe Merrill, son of the millionaire owner of a chain of 5 and 10 cent stores, poses as Joe Grant, and takes a job in the stockroom of one of his father's stores, to prove that he can be a success without his father's influence. There he meets stockroom girl Maggie Johnson, and they fall in love. This causes problems, because Mrs. Merrill had planned for her son to marry Millicent Rogers, a high society girl. (imdb)

This is the kind of movie Mary Pickford does best. Cute love stories filled with slapstick and lovable moments! The true female-Chaplin. The underdog from the lower-classes accidentally ending up falling in love with a rich guy. The guy played by her future husband - the almost 12 year younger Charles 'Buddy' Rogers. They got married 10 years after this and it was a Hollywood marriage that lasted 42 years! But they have chemistry which they showed here giving us a delightful Pickford flick!
