My Life as a Dog

Very nice look at growing up through a character undergoing some tumultuous changes in his family life. At times it's too quirky and the lead isn't the most likable but the film's disarming mix of comedy and sincerity make it work anyway and it has some really great moments.

Charming little film whose international success led to Lasse Hallstrom's deterioration :-)

the best coming of age story cinema has to offer.
