A bath of bathos: Michael Keaton dying of kidney cancer for two hours, gradually getting used to the idea, settling accounts, tying up loose ends, trying to hold on for the birth of his son, recording for him a narcissistic video of wit and wisdom (pure shtick), before finally taking that big rollercoaster up to heaven. It's pretty well summed up in a single line of dialogue: "I don't want you to feel bad about my dying." Nicole Kidman shows a new, kitteny likeness to Ann-Margret

Maybe I just saw it at the wrong time of the month, but this movie crushed me. Yeah, its sappy and manipulative but I cried like a baby.

This is a very touching movie about realizing what is important in your life.

It's sappy, sure. But it accomplishes its goal to near perfection. Great performances all around, even if the movie is kind of a drag.

The story is brilliant, is deep and sincere. Maybe, lacking a larger chemistry between Keaton and Kidman, but it is worth watching, there are lessons of life interesting.
