My Little Pony: Equestria Girls

My first venture into Equestria, and I got a pretty decent kids film. Go figure, I might have to watch the show now.

Eh. Could have been much, much worse. A definite drop in quality from season 2 of the show though.

What I loved about this movie wasn't that it was awful - that's to be expected - but that it was LITERALLY THE WORST MOVIE YOU COULD HAVE POSSIBLY MADE FROM THIS FRANCHISE, AND CONSIDERING THAT'S A FRANCHISE ABOUT TALKING FUCKING PONIES WITH A CREEPY ADULT MALE FANBASE, THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING. human versions and high school drama and human/pony HYBRIDS and oh god urghhhhhh

Pretty bad especially if you can't get past the cynicism that this is even more of an overt cash grab than usual kids shows including MLP. Why even bother making them generic Bratz or Monster High short skirted Mean Girls? Then to culminate into pony-human hybrids? Fav scene: Pinkie Pie's expositions. "Seriously? The talking dog is the weirdest thing about this?"

I'd only watched a couple of You Tube clips before this and avoided the show. Not because they were bad, because they were good and I didn't want to end up a Bronie. Bit cheesy, simplified Mean Girls plot BUT lots of humour and strong characters. So yeah, can see myself checking out the show....
