A terribly dull drama with some color. "Darkies" (as they call them here) that is, singing as they where at My Old Kentucky Home (1938). At least the songs left some impression while the rest of this Crescent/Monogram was simply poor on all levels. What was the point of this movie anyway? Did someone have the Hall Johnson Choir under contract and wanted to promote them by putting them in a almost unrelated white person's movie?
