This is more like a play/theatre performance. Its kinda drag for cinema but still works thanks to consistent good acting and fine screenplay... Experimental Tradegy & Cliche Romance It has both pattern of emotion.. Kinda both unique and also corny movie.. But ı just loved. The biggest downfall of the movie is camera.. Its too much one on one in indoor set. It needs grand scale shots, it needs tilts and pans.. A little bit movement that mirrorize the emotions.

Directionless, pointless mush of a film.

I was impressed by the performances, kline in particular. Being based on a play and with such a great cast allows for us to get very up close and personal with the characters. At its core, yes its predictable, but while watching i was so immersed in each moment scene by scene that i didn't even think of that "big picture" flaw

I generally enjoy Kline's whimsical performances, it's what drew me towards this film, and I was not disappointed. I was surprised though, as Kline also delivers a very strong dramatic performance along with the rest of the cast, who all draw you into a glimpse of human fragility. Notable mention of Dominique Pinon, who shares a similar energy to Kline, and fit perfectly into the film. My Old Lady is slow in pace, but will have you engrossed before it's over.

It starts as a comedy, then develops as a tragedy, and ends as a dramatic comedy. It got me off guard.

I can see this working as a play, but as a film it is poor. Some of the lengthy dramatic one-on-one scenes that unfold are really hammy, as is Kline's acting.

Begins as a gentle comedy but goes into darker territory.whilst still maintaining it's general good nature. An excellent trio of main performances.

A warmhearted but slight and cheesy romantic dramedy that can't escape its obvious stage play origins. Enjoyable thanks to its trio of wonderful actors. Certainly the best work we have seen from Kevin Kline in years.
