An often fascinating documentary, which profiles five schoolmates who grew up in the 70s and 80s in the Soviet Union, and were then confronted by the collapse of the USSR and the establishment of modern Russia. The archival footage, a mix of propaganda and home movies, is the best part; the modern interview footage is intriguing, but the second half drags a bit and feels somewhat aimless. Still, a must for those with an interest in Russian history.
