Nanami: The Inferno of First Love

One link between Japan's Art Theatre Guild and the first big wave of pink films that began in the mid-sixties. A refreshing story about a troubled young loner and his awkward but sincere relationship with a girl who becomes increasingly embroiled in a pornography ring. Terayama's contribution to the script is not difficult to perceive if one is familiar with his directorial efforts, especially Pastoral and Grass Labyrinth.
