Navy Wife

Navy Wife (1935) came at the end of Fox Films existence, before they had to merge with 20th Century, so it's not surprising that it lacked the polish and budget to impress. It's still a watchable time-filler thanks to Claire Trevor gentle performance. She keeps this steady while everyone else, except dull Ralph Bellamy, plays it loose like a comedy. Bits of laughter throughout, but it's Trevor who gives this it's little beating heart.
