Never Grow Old

We're in the age of depression westerns. The formula: Slow monotone dialogue, embarrassingly empty atmosphere/sound design, dark scenes with only short bliss of hyper violence breaking the snooze fest. Never Grow Old (2019) isn't the only sinner of this, and it's far from the worst. It does things well and it's got a few interesting characters, even if they're one-dimensional. But it's not really anything which felt engaging to me.
