Moving, tragic, up-lifting and soundtracked by one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. Perfection.

Very good considering I don't like documentaries or rock music.

As these things go, this one is nice. It doesn't poke into the corners of it's story very much. Whiteley being a Mormon, the film doesn't question anything about Kane's conversion, and it leaves out most darker details of his past. It portrays the reunion with Syl Sylvain and Johansen in fairly glowing terms, kind of taking it for granted that Kane's resentment of Johansen was reciprocated, but truth be told ... Johansen doesn't seem to care a whole lot about Kane.
