Next Stop Wonderland

Gently meta romcom structured around the fated couple's meeting being continually thwarted by chance. Probably sounds awful but the frantic faux-offhand style fits that gentle irony very well, quick cuts and handheld camera skilfully used and remarkably palatable. There's almost nonstop chatter, with silence deployed to sensuous effect--when she calls for his brother & they listen to each other breathe, or the physical ending. Anderson should try stuff like this and HAPPY ACCIDENTS again!

It's fine, but didn't really have anything that made it stand out for me. I like more romance and comedy in my romantic comedies than what was offered here.

This movie is alright. Hope Davis does a good job but the story didn't really stand out for me. The male lead wasn't very interesting.

Consistent. Not the fairtale, but close to it. Several striking scenes.

Mildly entertaining, but dig the soundtrack, which, unfortunately, makes little sense. Maybe I liked it because I'm from Boston.

The thinnest of plots & jerkiest of cameras cover face shots spouting boring dialogue. Sure, a couple scenes work & overcome the sludge feeling that anyone can make a movie and it doesn't have to be watchable interesting or even pretentious art, it can just be bad.
