A Charles Dickens story that's so Charles Dickens that it's almost a parody. Even if you're only a Dickens novice you'll recognize his patented go-to ideas. And naturally it's far too complex to truly capture the magic of the story fora single film. Alberto Cavalcanti does have a good stab at one of my less favorite classic tales from the legendary author. It's not exactly the most cheerful of stories, so take that in mind when attempting this. With that said, there is a evergreen value to this.
