Night School

I can only take so much strong sass mmmmhmm. The stupid high school in our city had a principal that walked around with a baseball bat.

You’ve had a long day and you want a movie that is light-hearted, needs little to no thinking, and is funny. Night School fails to deliver on that final requirement. The entire movie lies somewhere between lazy and uninspired. The bright side is that you’ve bought yourself 2 hours of sleep where you’ve missed absolutely nothing.

A little too raunchy for my taste But a good story with some truly funny moments

There are a few laughs to be had. It has a painfully unfunny beginning but I thought it was going to turn a corner once it hit the night school because I actually laughed a few times during the initial encounters of the classmates. Yeah, not so. Some good jokes scattered very infrequently throughout and Haddish is a fun, sassy teacher, but even she becomes a little too much by the end.

Tiffany Haddish and Rob Riggle are both hilarious. Kevin Hart... is Kevin Hart. Honestly, it's not terrible. It's generic and predictable. It's a Hart vehicle and I don't know what I expected. It's got all the feel-goods in the right place, but I'm still not feeling it. Maybe next time, Kev.

Extremely by the numbers, it's not bad but its screenplay is weak and it has two of the worst uses of montage I've ever seen. Haddish elevates it slightly but this is almost the exact definition of an airplane movie.

Tiffany Haddish is the best part of this film hands down but as funny as parts were this film was a by the books style comedy. It could have attempted to show why pursuing your GED can be important but it went for the childish joke and the gift wrapped ending. It was exactly what you expected, down to the one liners and the predictable ending.

Enjoyable but forgettable weaker version of Community (when's that movie coming?). Decent acting from Hart and Haddish. Poor editing in scenes between takes.

An unfunny little movie that might have been slightly better with a more talented star. Everyone else tries hard but there's just not much to this.

I think Kevin Hart's stand up is hysterical but most of his movies have been duds for me. I liked the cast of characters in this one and did get a few laughs but still predictable and not very funny.

Tiffany Haddish deserves so much better.

Like someone pointed out, this feels like a out of touch remake of the T.V show Community. I'll be the first to say I love Kevin Hart, I'll watch anything he is in, and he definitely gives any movie I watch a considerable bump. He really is about the only thing I really like about this, Haddish is fine too but I feel overall, the writers really failed the talent level. This isn't really funny even if I didn't compare it to Community. This sucks, because I had decent expectations.

I love Hart's energy, so I put it on to take my mid day nap while it was playing. It didn't disappoint. Nothing to keep me awake sadly :(. I do love Kevin Hart but this has zero things to talk about.

Putting Kevin Hart in comedies just proves the fact that there is no God.. He doesn't have a single funny bone in his body.

Very by the numbers, but genuinely touching. Wish the whole thing would've been as funny as the first 45 minutes. Tiffany Haddish is a goddess. Always nice to be reminded that this woman is finally as famous as she should be.

What a lazy comedy. Kevin Hart's brand of ‘yelling at the camera' needs some jokes to yell. To top it off, to explain how ANY woman could possible resist Kevin Hart it MUST be that she is gay. My god.
