Night Terrors

Of all the movies I've seen, it took a Tobe Hooper rental to finally see a man riding a horse naked. And let me tell you, it was not as hot as I had never once imagined it would be. The movie around that memorable scene is a big flop. So, just like that scene actually.

The DVD said this was "Marquis de Sade". The title card said "Tobe Hooper's Living Nightmare". It was heavily cut down to about 72 minutes from 98 minutes. I think the stuff that was cut was all the nudity and violence; without those, there wasn't much reason to stick around. Maybe they also cut the stuff that made it interesting? I'm curious to check out the full version, but not that curious. Terrible.

It's mostly just boring but it goes buck wild at the end in a great way. This movie is basically a softcore porno.

This movie for all it's faults and there are a lot is still a insane weird ride. Hooper's visual taste seems to be at the forefront again which is a good thing and the story is again like his classic stuff about a foreign intruder in a unsettling environment. But there is a thing as too much build for so little payoff. I liked Englund but i dunno the movie kinda seems like something people would rent just to pause and jack it to the nudity.

People expecting a traditional horror flick will be hugely disappointed.
