Nightfall

Insubstantial but enjoyable combo riff on elements of SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and CHINATOWN sometimes feels like a "Friday Night" TV drama in its melodramatic plotting and folksy performances, but high production values (the night cinematography is gorgeous, and several violent action/chase scenes are executed superbly) carry the day; the coda stretches things out unnecessarily, tieing up some plot ends which were already pretty clear.

This is a very tense movie for the most part but a few scenes featuring terrible green screen and CGI really took me out of the moment. The ending is pretty far fetched but the actors pull it off.
