Nightmare Beach

Sex comedy gone slasher. While I like both of the genres it mixes, realization is so mediocre that it's only slightly enjoyable in the end.

Absolute tosh, of course, but I felt quite well-disposed towards it. It is VERY eighties, in particular the music and fashions. It's tone verges on black comedy, doesn't shy away from bikinis, and gets kudos for turns from Saxon and LeGault. Cheesy, cheap-gory, daft.

A 80s spring break movie+ a biker gang movie+ a slasher. Not bad! Not good... but not bad. Kind of rare you have this type of movie that sticks to one single cause of death, rather intentional or accidental

1980s, spring break, psycho serial-killer, Italian exploitation director; need I say more? Okay, I will. It's a mediocre slasher-comedy. It does get bonus points for featuring John Saxon, Michael Parks and Lance LeGault.

This is dumb. Watchably dumb, but still dumb. It's a mixed bag all-around honestly, with some pretty fun 80's slasher moments throughout, a nice soundtrack, & performances that tow the line between campy & awful very well. The half-baked mystery element is interesting for what it is. Still, there's stuff like subplots that go nowhere, characters that exist for no reason, kills that seem abnormally random, & the whole mess that is the third act. It's entertaining, but also a bit disappointing.
