Nightmares

The action is often framed at odd angles--most of the killings occur backstage, or outside, an old fashioned theatre--and it moves along at a fairly brisk pace, but the acting is mostly bad, and the editing is very distracting. There are some really laughable attempts at using fractured montages to connote a troubled psyche; at worst it's laughable; at best, it's a lobotomized Peckinpah. In the end, it's no better or worse than most of the crap that was coming out of the U.S at that time.
