I found it much better than the cheap wannabe The Asylum production ghost movie I was expecting. The actual monsters up close are a bit mediocre with just their makeup, but there was fun mystery building up. The actors are doing better than your average paranormal story. The first things wrong with the tv screens, and the end scene at the window (you'll know which) were the good ones in the whole.

It works moderately well until one sees the actual monsters, which are hackneyed.

A pathetic horror movie with asinine story points and even worse dialog. Plodding and boring. Nothing was believable and little was entertaining. Monumentally bad writing. Boring ineffective directing. Some good creepy music and one pretty girl. Overall, it was mostly a waste of time and money.

Derivative. Cheap. Indifferently directed and acted (although Englund tries to have as much fun as he can with paltry material). There are precisely two effectively eerie moments, one at around the 77-minute mark (reminiscent of Carnival of Souls but still nice) and then a series of shots at the very end. If you're having a sleepless night and want to watch something that isn't offensively terrible but also will not run the risk of actually engaging you, look no further.
