Drunken crabs. Ninja bosses in Carol Channing wigs. Watermelon violence. Instant mascara. Needless underboss sex scenes set to early 70s Pink Floyd. Clockwork robots delivering ominous VHS tapes. Garfield phone. As pure an expression of filmic whimsy as one can ever hope to encounter. In a word: exhilarating.

Godfrey Ho masterpiece with fat middle aged ninjas in red outfits running around in the daytime. Richard Harrison plays a guy called "Ninja Master Harry" who has a GARFIELD phone in his apartment. Hwang Jang Lee spends the whole flick wearing a blonde woman's wig for no apparent reason. The plot rampages all over the place like a drunken elephant. The music is all ripped from other movies. Classic.

Using two cars, twelve actors, a watermelon, three katanas, two ninja stars, a cheap plastic statue, a Garfield phone, three samples of sandpaper scraping pitch-shifted into infinity, and a mere two days at a hotel, Godfrey Ho has given us a true work of art.

I realized as I typed that "79" in the box above that it is 1 point higher than I gave Badlands. But let me ask you this: Does Badlands have Pink Floyd cunnilingus and VHS delivery robots? Your move, Malick.

every movie with the word "ninja" in the title and richard harrison in the cast deserves a basic score of 60. the additional fifteen points are due to excellent choreography, incredible dialog AND the "tiger"-character. this may well be harrison's crowning achievement!

If you're a fan of 80s Chinese(?) ninja movies, then this is ok. It's far from great, and the story is weird, but the action is good. If you can't handle cheap, mindless trash, then don't bother.

Godfrey Ho brings the world a master piece of amazingly ridiculous ninja schlock. The movie is bursting full of surprisingly decent fight choreography and all the charms you would expect with a "ninja" movie. Bizarre and ridiculous throughout, the movie feels like it was edited with a katana and mixed with random films, because it pretty much was. Worth it for the odd quirks and B-movie martial-arts fun.

My first Godrey Ho. I think this is the beginning of a long term relationship.

This film is so bad in a way that goes beyond being able to enjoy it. I felt tired after watching this. I plan on having no memory of the content of this film in a few months time.

Viewed November 21, 2021. Just 90 minutes of people punching and kicking one another while wearing cool costumes. The fight choreography is not half-bad, and it’s punctuated by some terrible music and the prominent usage of both a VHS-delivering robot (?) and a Garfield-shaped telephone. If you watch the cropped version on Tubi, there are a lot of shots of coffee tables where you can’t see the people sitting on either side. Images I’ll never forget cut together at dizzying speed.

I don't really like Godfrey Ho films but I usually like watching the various action scenes in them.
