When a young girl, Devi (Suchitra), gets killed during a train journey from Trivandrum to Madras, on board the No: 20 Madras Mail train, three young men - Tony Kurishinkal (Mohanlal), Hitchcock Kanjikuzhi (Manian Pillai Raju) & Kumbalam Hari (Jagadish) - suspected of murder, go on the run from the Police, & also tries to find the real murderer.
