No Good Deed

I liked this one Although I must admit Taraji makes some pretty dumb choices in the beginning But once she figures it out it's pretty good

The first 20 minutes of this really had me hooked, and Idris Elba is quite stellar throughout this. He really carries the rest of the movie because unfortunately, this movie severely derails after that. A lot of it comes down to being predictable and underwhelming for something touted as a thriller. It feels like trying to go for a creepy and test of morales character, something you would see in some serial killers, but depicts in it such a unrealistic way, it's bothersome.

Oh wow, it's fucking nothing

Leaves you wondering what the point was, beginning with the parole hearing of a possible serial killer and ending with an unrelated woman moving into a new apartment. It almost sets up a metaphor for temptation in a marriage, with Colin up as the ultimate bad boy. This is understandable, since Idris Elba can't help but be a sex symbol, but not excusable, since a man who may or may not have raped and murdered six women is literally the worst person to portray as sexy.

No Good Deed caught my attention due to the casting of Idris Elba but he cannot salvage this dreary and pointless thriller. From the premise to the climax, it all amounts to nothing. It's low budget, straight to DVD standard filmmaking and it plods along miserably. This is bread and butter material for Idris Elba and this film is below his calibre. And the supporting cast and writing is poor. To be fare though, the twist did surprise me. But then again I didn't pay much attention throughout.

Dumb. Seriously--check your brain. But, if you're able to take its extreme dumbness and run with it, it becomes kind of fun in a trashy, cheesy, brain-dead, stripped-down, bad-movie way. Connoisseurs of junk filmmaking should rejoice. There probably wasn't a crappy movie I enjoyed more in 2014.

I saw this when it came out, and immediately forgot it until I just recently stumbled across it. While I don’t remember anything notably bad, it’s a contender for one of the most forgettable movies I’ve seen.

I'm pretty sure Idris had a mortgage in danger and had to take the first contract on the table after a hard night of partying which might also had some compromising photos involved, otherwise it makes no sense whatsoever.

The menace we see here, and the violence that targets women is disturbing. They fight back of course--especially Terri--but in the end it's Colin's unrelenting assault on her that makes this no good entertainment. (pluggedin.com)

A popcorn movie to see in a boring night.
