At the urging of her curmudgeon old grandfather Jerome Cedric (C. Aubrey Smith), spoiled rich kid Annie Holt (Carole Lombard) is forced to marry into royalty in order to save her banker father, Bill Holt (Walter Connolly), from financial ruin. Carole Lombard as a wild and spoiled rich girl about to marry a prince when she meets nobody Lyle Talbot who gets her wise to herself. Talbot had a long roller-coaster career of varies performances, but here he managed to be a strong enough leading man for Lombard! The romance is forced positively on by her father and grandma Walter Connolly & Louise Closser Hale, who are very lovable characters in this movie. Thanks to the old folks this semi-screwball becomes pleasurable.
