Bond: Endgame. Honest question: What is your favorite Bond film staple? The cars? The girls? The gadgets? The fights? The chases? The martinis? Mine is familial drama so this delivered in spades. Ask yourself this, whose love life do you care more about, Ethan Hunt from Mission Impossible or John Wick? If you have a definitive answer, than you will enjoy this movie. I couldn't care less about either. Remember the twenty-five minutes devoted to marriage in Commando? Me neither.

Ambitious, and the pacing is great, but Malek's villain is a bit lackluster. Luckily, the stakes are high, and Craig gives his best performance yet. He's a great Bond. At least two out of his five films as 007 would make my top 5 of the franchise. To celebrate the last 15 years of Bond, I'll give out a handful of awards... Most Attractive Bond Girl: Olga Kurylenko - Most Memorable Henchman: Dave Bautista - Best Action: the first hour of 'Casino Royale' - Best Film & Song: 'Skyfall'.

In a vacuum it’s a well-directed film - Cary Fukunaga is no slouch when it comes to framing, staging, performances, any of that - and in terms of action scenes, cinematography, sets, score etc it’s all well done, even excels at points. Buuut… I’m pretty much fully burned out on them trying to make “the most IMPORTANT Bond movie ever,” the GAME CHANGER, each and every time out. In the next era I’d really just like more normal, old school style 007 adventures.

There's certainly finality to this Bond film. Daniel Craig had long promised he would not do another film and it's clear all the way through that he meant it. A good film overall, it's hampered by choices made in the disappointing "Spectre." Craig and Lea Seydoux lack chemistry and I didn't buy their character's speedy romance from the previous film. Therefore, making them "endgame" in this film sets it up for failure. This film is not without its charms. The sequence in Cuba is a highlight.

It's SO criminally boring, feeling like a bunch of tired old ideas lazily mashed together: the script is awful and I had no idea what was going on for large chunks, but honestly couldn't care less. The worst Bond of the Craig era, and bad enough to evoke memories of the mostly terrible Brosnan period. 160 mins long and fucking feels like it too.

I never cared for Bond's central relationship with Seydoux' character, not helped by me remembering nothing from Spectre. Malek's take on the Bond villain is a placeholder. Despite all these massive faults I was never actually bored. Craig always works, the new 007 and a fun de Armas bring some vigour and the movie looks shiny. Give Bond to Edgar Wright or something please.

Its pace, the practically effected action sequences, and strong cinematography and design mean the film never drags, even at nearly three hours long. A fitting send off for Craig’s battered but resilient Bond.

Why are there pools of anything in a nano-bot factory? Didn't the introductory scene show off that the poison nano-bots can be easily aerosolized? What's with the skin-to-skin transmission? These new Bond films are dumb as hell. Pick a theme. Write a coherent plot. Keep character motivations in mind. It shouldn't be hard.

But underexplored characters and narrative shortcuts can't fully dampen this Craig/Bond fan's spirits. Bon voyage, Daniel. And thank you for this tremendous ride as 007.

But it's not all bad though, the Cuba sequence felt vibrant and fun, the "Evil Lair" was wonderfully old school and despite what he got to work with here, Craig is arguably the best Bond ever.

This is probably the best of the Craig saga since it does a good job of tying all the pieces together and hits you decently hard with the emotional beats. Liked the wide shots Fukunaga uses, especially in the chunk of the story in the snow area. The overhead shot where Malek is trudging through the snow dragging his gun is great. Needs more ball whipping scenes tho. Bring back a less serious bond

No Time to Die subverts from everything we’ve seen from the Bond franchise and in attempt, feels like it suffers an identity crisis. Being it be the convoluted sub plots, weak antagonists, and some very questionable ideology of the Bond character being tested, I can’t help but feel they’re trying too hard to be something they’re not. To Craig fans, I think this is a solid entry, but in the overall scope of things…I’m a little nervous for the OG fans of this long lasting franchise.

The action sequences in the 1st half are engaging, balanced with occasional moments of humour and moments of quiet. Then comes the 2nd half with its family drama and ill-justified megalomaniacal plot, and it's a step down but fine. I was more bothered by the CG backdrops in the finale than anything else. Armas was severely underused. Wright was great. Dencik stole every moment he was onscreen.

Malek is predictably rubbish as a Bond villain and Craig himself looks old so it's fitting this is his last time in the role. The best thing in the entire movie is de Armas who explodes on screen in the short few scenes she is given and is badly missed for the remainder.

Other pluses: Jeffrey Wright, Ralph Fiennes, Lashana Lynch, the nice nod to OHMSS and Q getting ready for a date.

Having paid to rent it online, I watched this twice, thus re-examining all the details prior to review. Unfortunately it's just not that great. The writers have lost all that made Bond great: He's not quirky, he's not funny, and the film is not uplifting. The entire forest scene should be cut. de Armas was wonderful, and there were copious shout-outs to 1969's OHMSS, which was great for us OG Bond fans. But that's about it. Stop with the references, and make it FEEL like a Bond film, dammit!

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the darker take on Bond that we've gotten, but there's no reason that this should be this long. Besides the ending, the section with de Armas was the best, and she was horribly underused. SHE should take over 007. Entertaining action, plot (even if it's stretched thin), etc. but Bond isn't really top of the class anymore. Even still, his end felt earned... so rest easy James.

Viewed October 27, 2021. No Time to Die somehow accomplishes two opposing goals: making a fun James Bond movie while also paying off the somber emotional arcs of the Daniel Craig era. Running about as long as a Jacques Rivette movie, No Time to Die is surprisingly fast and fun and never boring.

A weak, ineffectual villain usually spells disaster for any Bond movie, and that's what we have here. Couple that with an increasingly anemic Bond who pines for lost lovers, yearns for tranquility and cares for infants, and you have a movie that renders the character's very existence irrelevant, and watching him sleep walk through the same old fight scenes, car chases, and shootouts has become a bit of a chore. No Time To Die? On the contrary - this seems like an excellent time for Bond to die.

I'm not a fan of OHMSS and this takes major cues from it, I prefer Bond to be escapist and NTtD tries to give him an arc. This happened to a lesser degree in the other Craig films, but here (and in Spectre) it's at the expense of a decent villain - Malek is the second or third-worst in the whole franchise - and the personalization of Bond's crew makes it seem like the UK government is made up of five people. Some great visuals and socially progressive updating of MI6 staff doesn't do enough.

As always the 1st hr of a bond film is full of stunts, the next 2 (god help us) are nothing but a ludicrously unrealistic and boring shoot out in some underground island bunker, where it is revealed the villain is clueless, doesn't know why he is doing it & fails to kill Bond. In the end, Bond has to do the job himself

Like most Bond films this is very well made. Great actors and story. One of the highlights was Ana de Armas who unexpectedly kicked ass and is so beautiful. Daniel Craig wraps up his Bond career in this chapter. It was a little light on gadgets. Christoph Waltz made a great bad guy, but I did not care for Rami Malek. The pace and music was very good. Overall it was exciting and fun to watch and I enjoyed it. The ending was a bit slow and unexpected.

Nice send off for Craig. I've always had a little trouble with Craig's incarnation, due to the choice of being more "gritty" and less playful than earlier versions. But especially nowadays, I just really appreciate the action here. It seems 007 and MI are the only two blockbuster franchises that consistently pump out good, solid action that is more than just computer animation.

There's lots of fun to be had in the 1st half and as a whole, the action is the best in the franchise since Casino Royale. That said, for the third-straight Bond film, this becomes humorlessly serious and self-important in its back-half. I think it still hangs together (mostly because the action beats are so solid), but it's kind of a bummer that we only got two Bond films in the Craig-era that didn't turn into a dirge halfway through (and even worse that one of those two was Quantum of Solace).

Even though this movie is really good, it doesn't save the Bond character from being revolting. Some old dog womanizer who only likes to drink and chase girls half his age, with no ability for self reflection. They had a chance to fix that, then Madeleine immediately forgave him. Dude's a piece of trash, can't root for him.

Watch for some cool car stunts and the Ana de Armas fight scene, avoid it for everything else.

The supporting cast do well, and it’s shot pretty well in terms of action and never feels dull. The score is pretty good too. Rami Malek is not given enough screentime to shine as a memorable Bond villain. The big plus that pushes this up for me is the ending. Craig gets the send-off he deserves!

At least we'll get a franchise reboot in a few years time.

Perhaps thanks to lowered expectations, No Time to Die is a welcome surprise. It is not without it's "woke moments" and box-checking contrivances. But it is not nearly as heavy handed as many expected. More importantly, it is competently written and features plenty of Bond hallmarks. In many ways, it is the perfect send-off for Daniel Craig's Bond.

A commendable farewell to Craig's Bond in the franchise's most emotional entry. Starts out great and looses its pace towards the ending. The new villain is too bland and the conclusion is obvious early on. Wonderful stunt-work and good cinematography.

If you know the Films including the old ones then this one will suprise you. Great One Shots...great Filmmaking but the Villian could have been a bit better Like Skyfall or Casino Royale. Great Ending this is my Generation 🎉
