"Moody" is an Iranian doctor living in America with his American wife Betty and their child Mahtob. Wanting to see his homeland again, he convinces his wife to take a short holiday there with him and Mahtob. Betty is reluctant, as Iran is not a pleasant place, especially if you are American and female. i'm an iranian! & i'm very very sorry for this misrepresent of my culture & my country. and except it's main artists (Sally Field, Alfred Molina) the other actings are Terrible!

I'm not going to claim this film is anywhere near being fair on Iranians, but as far as a western women trapped in a hopeless situation in a foreign culture, I felt the movie managed to be effective. Used too much time to bastardize the husband though. Could have cut that shorter and made the escape more thrilling.
