Eloquently constructed film about yes blindness but also faith, depression, relationships, cinema itself & the whole human experience. The experimental style didn't feel pretentious at all but sincere & prescribed by the source material. At times I found myself closing my eyes and just listening to the film which remarkably enriched the cinematic experience. Not without occasional awkwardness but uniquely engaging & commendable effort to reach for something very central to cinema & life itself.

Quite like the impressionistic blurring and what but the insights on blindness and memory were only just worth it through the bad lip-syncing, dodgy fake beard and god-waffle.

as much as there are some very strong moments, specially when the movie actually lets the recordings take its place and show its truth, there are moments where the staging ends up making everything look artificial (the terrible lip-synch); overall, it's a work with high and low moments during the narrative, not very well directed - still a good story though.
