Passes the time, but there isn't anything here that wasn't done better in Speedy years later.

The gag with the handbag overstays it's welcome, but happens to be the only saving grace of this short.

Some on-location fun at the Santa Monica Pier and environs; a little more low-key than Lloyd's others from this year, but not bad. It lulls a bit in the middle in the public telephone section that gave it its title, though.

A fun time throughout...with Lloyd displaying his usual Bob Newhart-like charm, and a host of funny gags when he tries to get rid of that damn purse.
