Somewhere in the depths of memory are scenes of this movie, though I have no idea what or why. That about sums it up.

Fun, but not real funny.

It is what it is. A very silly concept with some amusing slapstick moments, decent one-liners and larger-than-life characters. Idle and Coltrane are good value, and their riffing on religion was pretty funny, but some of the supporting characters are a bit weak. Whoever cast Robert Patterson as the mob boss must have been as short-sighted as Camille Coduri's character - he is awful.

Before there was Snakes on a Plane, there was Nuns on the Run. Okay neither film has anything to do with the other, but it sounded cool. Getting to business though, Eric Idle is always funny and Robbie Coltrane has great range. And while this movie isn't the best work of either actor, it is quite funny.
