There were some good parts to this mixed in with the bad, boring and cliched parts. The weirdest part of this is that I kept getting a "Dexter" vibe from this, the choice of music the slightly humorous tone and the slightly off acting.

Looking at and listening to Paz de la Huerta has an uncanny valley effect on me. As though she's just impersonating a human being. With that creepy face and bombshell body, it's like a Realdoll come to life. At first I found her extremely off-putting, but she's grown on me. Now I need to watch The Editor again. Anyway, this movie is ridiculously bad and I enjoyed every minute of it. It's stupid, bloody, and the nurses wear Sexy Nurse Halloween costumes instead of scrubs.

It's eating me up inside... I must confess... I enjoyed Paz de La Huerta's performance as the demented nurse of the title. There; feel better already.

Paz de la Huerta may be one of the worst actresses in the history of film when it comes to inconsequential things like dialogue... or monologue... or anything that involves speaking in any way, but... Where was I? Honestly, any remotely competent actress would have turned this into a right bore. While everyone else (including poor Martin Donovan) is busy trying to act, de la Huerta just... "derange" is a good verb. She deranges the movie. It must be seen to be believed.

A so bad its fun trashy exploitation horror movie. The acting by Paz de la Huerta is terrible but for some reason her deadpan deliver really helps the character. Overall a fun movie if you've had a few drinks and need to not think much

Pure cheesy camp done this well can often elevate itself to a higher plain, but unfortunately in this case the film is hampered by the amateurish and laughable leading performance from Huerta (who is not remotely believable as an ingénue, even in a broadly silly context). Thankfuly, the rest of the cast is top-notch (though Turner is unfortunately reduced to a blink-and-you'll-miss-her cameo). Florid use of 3D to add to the overwrought tone is a master stroke.

There has never, nor will there ever be, a performance anything like the one given by THE MUTHFUCKIN Paz De La Huerta in Nurse. She's sensational. Her controlled, self-aware sexuality, played at an impossibly perfect, camp pitch... her drawn out, slurred and breathey dialogue... wow. It almost seems like she's having an orgasm with every word and step she takes. A delightful specimen of female-centric, camp horror.

There are seven naked people in the first 20 minutes. "There is no cure for the married cock" is among the weirder lines I've ever heard. The dialogue is really bad; the acting, SUPER cheesy. But it has a fun tone and interesting (albeit REALLY stupid) premises. Not attracted to Paz, but moar Katrina Bowden please! Make no mistake, this movie is pretty terrible. Is it "so bad it's good"? Kind of. "So bad it's entertaining" is closer. It's a guilty pleasure I guess. But stupid. Very, very stupid.

Someone fetch a doctor to give these nurses an acting lesson! This horror film wasn't horrendous with its gore, no the acting killed this film. I will admit I was entertained for the most part, but sometimes when both the female leads opened their mouth to speak... I cringed like I was about to be stuck with a needle... [Full Review]

My favorite kill was the one where Paz de La Huerta kills the movie by the sheer atrocity of her acting. Every time she delivers a line, it's like a small laceration to the femoral artery. I thought HR lady was pretty charming though. Have a wonderful day!

Given the softcore nature of erotic thrillers, it's only natural so many of them wind up on late-night cable. As a result it seems any entry in the genre hoping 2 distinguish itself would do more work on the thriller side of things. No such luck here, but at least this generally seems self-aware of how ridiculously overheated its storyline is. The acting's better than the usual former playmates, except 4 the lead, whose slightly-drugged Monroe impression is simultaneously bad & yet, appropriate.

This is pure exploitation, with lots of violence, lots of blood and lots of sex. The CGI is terrible and the 3D unnecessary, but overall it's just lots of campy fun. If you like Frank Henenlotter movies (Basket Case, Brain Damage), and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Robert Rogriguez movies, you'll probably enjoy this.

Aims at the grindhouse sexploitation genre but it plays too clean. I'm OK with Abby's under-developed urge to fuck a rookie nurse but the script gets mired in borderline soap opera bore. Same as the directing, this film is too safe, too homogenized. The older Russ Meyer, Jack Hill films were shoddy & grimy affairs but they had mattress POV sex scenes, Nurse has a woman naked from the waist down but filmed from the waist up. This not adventurous, it holds its theme & comes across too clinical.
