Bitter vulgar Flowers for Algernon nonsense replaces the sweetness of the first one. However, I will never not enjoy Mama Klump going "FABULOUS" I use it every day and will probably die alone.

Twice as vulgar and half as funny as the first one. Unpleasant and mean-spirited to boot. Blech.

This film was horribly, painfully unfunny. Every joke was in terribly bad taste (giant hamster rape? What did the meeting on THAT look like?), and there was no "character" to speak of. One of the most unenjoyable experiences I've ever had watching a film.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that watches The Klumps with me shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition; and gentlemen in other theaters now-a-seat shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that watched with us upon Saint Klump's day.

Tolerance for Murphy's Lewis/Seller's routine of playing multiple outsized and/or grotesque characters, often in the same scene, is required here, and in ample doses. No doubt that Murphy is skilled in this particular area, and while he was clearly a horrible influence on the future generations of black comedians (e.g. Tyler Perry), he is always entertaining in this context, even with terrible material. The restaurant scene is uproarious, and there are a handful of outrageous gags that work.

Yes, I think a sequel was completely warranted, thanks for asking.

God knows how many times I've seen this--enough to burn certain scenes forever into my memory, and enough that I need never again judge it objectively. And let's be honest--it's not very good. The timing is clumsy, the writing is sloppy, and the supporting cast is undistinguished. But at the heart of it is Eddie Murphy, playing six characters (and the makeup is still brilliant) to perfection, making them by turns hilarious, sympathetic, and disturbing. He makes it more than a little worthwhile.

A series of good comic ideas, (largely stolen from Part 1) which never build or pay off in a satisfying way; horny Grandma makes a great pull for the trailer, but frustratingly little is done to move beyond the one-joke nature of her character. It's a shame because Murphy's performance(s) cannot be faulted; not since Peter Sellers has one actor managed to differentiate and give weight to so many broad comic characters.

one and only Eddie Murphy gross out humor which wasn't remotely funny or enjoyable. full of farts and annoyance of dirty joke that it was hard to sit through. Eddie Murphy effort to play many character was an unnecessary disaster in which he constantly over reacting and horribly pretentious. the first one isn't much of a delight. let alone,it continued into this bigger and more disposable flick.
